Em comemoração ao seu 30º aniversário, a revista japonesa de games Famistu, conhecida por cobrir o mercado de maneira rigorosa, realizou uma enquete com seus leitores para eleger os jogos mais memoráveis de cada console lançado desde que a revista existe. Isso significa todos os principais consoles já produzidos pelas maiores fabricantes do setor nos últimos 30 anos, que incluem marcas como a Nintendo, Sony, Sega, Microsoft e NES (conhecido no Japão como Famicom), entre outras.
De acordo com o portal japonês Kotaku, foram recebidas pela revista 2921 cédulas, cada uma das quais continha votos para um jogo de cada um dos consoles participantes. Para cada um deles, foram considerados os 10 jogos mais votados pelos leitores para compor um “top 10”.
Conforme o site aponta, os leitores não votaram nos jogos que consideravam ser o “melhor” de cada console (embora jogos muito bons tenham vencido), mas sim naqueles dos quais mais se lembravam. Jogos mobile, para PCs e máquinas de fliperama não foram incluídos.
Também vale notar que por tratar-se de uma enquete de uma revista japonesa, os jogos eleitos terão muito mais a ver com o gosto dos jogadores daquele país. A série Dragon Quest, por exemplo, pouco conhecida no país, é extremamente popular por lá.
